IT Business Partner Buzz - January

Formerly titled "Risk is not Boring!" . Thanks to all previous respondents for their ideas.

When faced with the prospect of filling in a risk assessment on a business case we tend to put stock phrases and responses in order to tick the box, yet we also find that one of the criticisms levied at IT departments is the inability to accurately forecast the cost and leadtime of a project. Is there a link? What can be done to motivate us and get us more credibility for delivery? 

Jon Baxter will prepare a short 15 minute talk on the topic, before handing it over to the audience to discuss the implications. This should give some useful insight on how we can do things differently.

The "Buzz" series of meetings are informal and open invitation meetings to all people interested in Strategic IT partnerships, every other month. These are not webinars but meetings where discussion online is held using gotomeeting. Maximum attendance is limited to 25. First come first served.
