General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Our Response

Baxter Thompson Associates are passionate about Strategic IT Partnerships. We want to help clients achieve competitive advantage through the use of our Reconnaissance for IT® framework and share our passion with a growing community of like minded individuals in the UK and beyond, so that they too can become Strategic IT Partners.

To do this effectively we review the way we communicate and engage with you, our audience. With General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into effect on the 25th May, we're taking the opportunity again to ensure our compliance and protect your rights.

We are taking the following steps:

  • Updating the terms of service
  • Updated the privacy policy
  • Providing additional information on data transparency
  • Improved clarity on consent and email marketing
  • Increased information security

We will be providing you with an update once these steps have been undertaken.

GDPR creates consistent data protection rules across the European Union (EU) and applies to companies based in the EU as well as companies around the world that provide services and process data from or about individuals in the EU. GDPR has a broader scope than current EU data protection laws and substantial fines for compliance violations. There is a higher standard of consent required from individuals and GDPR provides for broader individual rights to accessing and porting data. To learn more about GDPR, please visit:
